What Makes Summit Tax Services Different

We Look For What You Missed

Most preparers use what you hand them. We ask the questions that uncover deductions, credits, and strategies your last preparer walked past.

We Explain What We're Doing

You leave knowing exactly what was filed and why. No black box. No mystery. Just clarity.

We Catch Problems Before They Catch You

A return reviewed by a professional who knows IRS audit triggers is worth far more than one prepared by software that doesn't.

We're Here Year-Round

Tax questions don't only happen in April. Summit Tax Services clients have access to us throughout the year — not just at filing time.

Tax Preparation — Answered Plainly

How much does professional tax preparation cost?

Summit Tax Services quotes your return before work begins — so there are no surprises. Individual returns, self-employed returns, and small business returns are each priced based on complexity. Book a free consultation to get your quote.

Can you prepare my taxes remotely?

Yes. We serve clients in all 50 states. You securely upload your documents through our client portal and we handle everything. You never have to come to an office.

What documents do I need?

We send you a complete checklist after your consultation. Generally: W-2s, 1099s, prior year return, Social Security statement, mortgage interest statement, and any relevant receipts. We walk you through it step by step.

What if I get audited after you file?

We stand behind our work. If you receive an IRS notice related to a return we prepared, we assist with the response. For full audit representation, we work with our team of licensed tax attorneys and enrolled agents (EAs).

Do you file state returns too?

Yes. We file federal and state returns for all 50 states.

What is the difference between a tax preparer and tax software?

Tax software fills in the information you provide. A professional preparer reviews your full picture — asking questions that uncover deductions, credits, and strategies the software is not programmed to find. Our clients frequently recover money from prior years through amended returns after switching from software-only filing.

Can you amend a prior year return if my old preparer made a mistake?

Yes. Amended returns can be filed for up to three prior tax years to claim missed deductions or correct errors. We handle the amended return and manage the correction process with the IRS on your behalf.

Taxes Done Right. Once. By Someone Who Actually Cares.

Imagine next tax season — no stress, no second-guessing, no wondering if you left something on the table. Just a return you can trust, filed by someone who was actually looking out for you. That's what Summit Tax Services clients feel every year. And it starts with one free conversation.
